Barbara F. GansJune 23, 1950 - July 6, 2014Barbara Gans, 64, of Nampa, passed away on July 6th of cancer. She was born on June 23, 1950 to Emery and Ruth Wells. Barbara graduated from Nampa High School in 1968.Barbara worked in retail for many years, beginning at the Merc, then Super Thrift Drug, and for the last 13 years, she was the store manager of Honk's Dollar Store. She was very devoted to her work and enjoyed interacting with her customers.Barbara was a very loving and supportive mother, an easy-going and fun loving grandmother. She loved Boise State football games, Sunday outings with her family, and annual trips to Seattle.Barbara leaves behind her four children, Brad Gans, Melanie Gans, and Deborah Shoemaker all of Nampa, and Robert Gans of Batavia, Ohio. Grandchildren, Briley, Chance, and Lanelle Gans, Madison Legg, Austin and Maranda Schamber, Tori, and Justin Gans. Siblings, Vesta Harvey, Donald Wells, Marolyn Wells, and Patsy Schwanke. Preceded in death by her parents, Ruth and Emery Wells, her sister, Carolyn Gulley, and brother-in-law, Leonard Harvey.A memorial service will be held at the Nampa Salvation Army church, 403 12th Ave. So. on Saturday, July 12th at 11:00 am.Memorial contributions may be made to Mountain States Tumor Institute.
