We regret to announce the passing of Barbara Curtaz, beloved mother, wife, grandmother, great grandmother and great great-grandmother. Born on March 16th, 1931, to Thatcher and Dorthey Soule in Alameda, and she lived her entire life in California. Barbara met Harry Curtaz, her loving husband, and they were blessed with two beautiful children, Sandra Taylor and Scott Curtaz. During her lifetime, Barbara dedicated herself to the community around her. Barbara was known for her kind and generous helping heart. She was always eager to lend a helping hand to those in need and was deeply involved in several charities and community organizations throughout her life. In her free time, Barbara enjoyed reading, shopping, and watching her favorite shows on TV. She was also a devoted member of her church and was a regular attendee at Sunday service at Capital Christian as well as bible study with her apartment community. She particularly enjoyed her time spent with the Russell Manor community and found fulfillment in her role as the apartment monitor. She was known for her deep faith and devotion to God. She was a kind and loving woman and will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Barbara's loss will be felt deeply by those close to her. Her kindness, love, and generosity left an indelible imprint on the lives of everyone who knew her. Even as her health declined, her spirits remained high, and she continued to bring light to those around her. Barbara will always be remembered as a kind woman who made the world a better place. Barbara will be remembered for her contagious smile, positive attitude, and kind heart. The funeral service will be held on 2:00pm May 26th, 2023, at East Lawn Elk Grove Memorial Park & Mortuary. May her soul rest in peace.
