Azizi Liburd, beloved mother, daughter, and friend, passed away on May 1, 2023, in Houston, Texas, at the age of 45. Born on March 13, 1980, to Craig Liburd and Theresa Lewis, Azizi's spirit shone brightly throughout her life.
One of Azizi's greatest joy in life was her son, Kevin Liburd, whom she had adopted in 2007. She devoted her time and energy to nurturing him and shaping him into the incredible individual he is today. Their bond was unbreakable and filled with laughter and love.
During her formative years, Azizi attended Madison University High School, where she excelled academically and forged lifelong friendships. In 1997, she proudly graduated from Madison University High School, carrying with her the knowledge and memories that would shape the rest of her life.
Continuing her studies at the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee, Azizi pursued her passion for helping others. It was during this time that she discovered her talent for human services, offering vital support to those in need. Her compassionate heart and selfless nature made a lasting impact on the lives she touched.
Outside of work, Azizi dedicated her free time to contributing to the Habitat for Humanity organization. She wholeheartedly believed in the power of communities coming together to build safe, affordable homes for those less fortunate. Azizi's enthusiasm for this cause inspired many around her to join in, creating lasting change.
Azizi Liburd will be remembered for her infectious laughter, her unwavering positivity, and her unyielding love for her family and friends. She will forever hold a special place in the hearts of those who knew her.
