Austin Martinez, 23, of York, Pennsylvania, passed on March 16, 2023. Austin was born on November 24, 1999.Martinez was an engaging and energetic man who loved nature as much as he did travel and helping others. In his high school career helped take his school soccer team to the state twice in his soccer career. As a young man with both passion and an intense sense of empathy, Martinez was also subject to depression, which he battled for several years. He chose to end his life just weeks into March. He is survived by his parents; his aunts (Melissa, Melanie),Uncles (David, Neil); his older brother, Joseph. He is predeceased by his maternal grandfather, James; and his paternal grandmother, Sandra.

Funeral services will be held at the  Edward J. Hildenbrand Funeral Home in Reading, PA on March 22, 2023. All are welcome. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be sent to the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline.
