Johnie was born on July 14, 1926 in Shreveport, LA to Herman and Lola (Wagly) Barnett.Johnie will be remembered as a strong and loving family matriarch, mother and friend. Johnie along with her son's father, Dick Golden, developed Golden Valley north of Reno. She was a successful Real Estate agent and a popular cabaret singer. She was very proud to call herself niece to Chester Barnett aka Bobo the Clown. Johnie was preceded in death by her parents and her husband James Roller. She is survived by her daughter Katherine Ellis (Lawrence Dings), her son Greg Golden (Shanda), grandchildren Ross Ellis (Kim), Leith Ellis (Diana), Grant Golden, Marissa Pont (Pierre), Illiana Orsi and Natalie Orsi, and 8 Great Grandchildren.The family would like to thank Infinity Hospice, Emergency Room Doctors and Staff at St. Mary's Hospital and all the love and care she received at The Arbors. A funeral service will be held on March 8, 2017 at 1 pm at Mountain View Mortuary, 425 Stoker Ave., Reno with an interment to follow at Mountain View Cemetery.
