Arthur Steven Beckler, Sr.Arthur Steven Beckler Sr., known to his friends as Art, lifetime resident of the south bay passed away on Tuesday November 8, 2016 surrounded by his family. Art was born on October 13, 1957 in Los Angeles, California to parents Alfonse and Ana Maria Beckler. Art attended schools locally in Torrance. He immediately began working his 41 year career with Rolling Hills Community Association (R.H.C.A.), where the residents and employees were considered not just friends but family. Art had a kind heart and soul, happy disposition and had friends of all ages. Art is survived by his brother Michael (Debra) and his sister Leah (Ernest), his only son Art JR. (Christine), grandson Jaxon , lifetime partner Cathy Holmes, her children and grandchildren, Lisa, E.J., Melissa and Jeremiah, lifelong friend Wes Farmer and his stepdaughter Charleen Carlson. Private visitation was held on Wednesday November 9, 2016 at Torrance Memorial Hospital and Sunday November 13, 2016 at McNerneys Mortuary in San Pedro. Celebration of life, hosted by R.H.C.A., was held at South Coast Botanic Gardens in Palos Verdes on Monday November 14, 2016.
