Arne Helin Arne Helin, at 91 yrs., passed away on August 5, 2017 in Tucson, AZ. He was born on May 18, 1926 in Tacoma, WA, where he attended Stadium HS. He served in the US Navy during WWII on the USS LST-1061. After discharge, he married Betty Ausbun and they lived in Tacoma, Milton, Gig Harbor and Lacey, WA. Arne worked as a purseiner fisherman in Alaska, had a career with Washington Natural Gas and worked as a member of the Plumbers and Pipefitters Local 26 for over 54 years. Arne and Betty loved the outdoors and enjoyed fishing, camping, bicycling, cross country skiing and sightseeing. Arne was preceded in death by his wife, Betty and his sisters Sylvia Leaton and Anita Miller. He is survived by daughters, Pamela Hawley (Richard) and Gloria Moore (Daniel) and 2 grandsons. Arne will be buried beside his wife at Woodlawn Cemetery in Lacey, WA.
