Armenta Doris (Edwards) Miles Obituary
Oct 16, 1968 - Jul 09, 2025
Forever in Our Hearts
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Armenta Doris (Edwards) Miles, who peacefully departed this life, July 9, 2025, in her home in Virginia Beach, VA. Armenta was a radiant soul whose vibrant spirit and unconditional love left an indelible mark on everyone fortunate enough to know her. Her passing leaves a void that can never be filled, and her memory will forever burn brightly in our hearts.
Armenta was born in Norfolk, VA October 16, 1968, to her late parents, Andrew and Doris Edwards. She was the youngest (baby sister) of seven children. Armenta is survived by her loving, daughter and grand-daughter Lovely Edwards and Nyla Edwards and her husband, Paul Miles. Her siblings include Vanetta Taylor (deceased), Vanessa Daugherty (deceased) Angela Langley, Andrew J. Edwards, III, Vincent Edwards, and Alecia Law. She is survived by a host of nieces and nephews, family and friends who loved her dearly.
Armenta brought joy and energy to her family and friends and her colorful personality continued to shine throughout her life. She was a proud graduate of Booker T. Washington High School, where she began building the foundation for a successful career. She dedicated many years to her successful profession at NEXCOM, where she was more than an Accounts Payable Supervisor, but she was an encouraging, kind, friend, and confidant who will be forever missed.
Armenta was vibrant and had a passion for laughter, singing, dancing and leading Zumba classes. She had a gift for bringing people together and was happiest when she was surrounded by family and friends. Her greatest pride and joy were her daughter, Lovely, and her precious granddaughter, Nyla. She cherished every moment spent with her family, creating memories that will be treasured forever.
Armenta loved the Lord and was not afraid to tell everyone how good He was to her. She was a prayer warrior. Someone famous once said that when God wants to bless you, he doesn’t give you things, he brings you people…Armenta was that person for so many. She was selfless and she brought joy to the lives of many.
Her absence will leave a void in the lives of those who loved her. Her positive impact on the world will live on. Armenta’s family has decided not to have a memorial service but will announce a celebration of life gathering in the very near future.
2 Timothy 4:7-8 - I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day—and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing.
Rest easy Armenta. We Love you!
