Arlyss Loretta (Schill) GrayArlyss Loretta (Schill) Gray, of Lafayette, passed away at 10:57 a.m. on December 20, 2013 St. Elizabeth East Hospital in Lafayette. She was born on July 5, 1933 in St. Cloud, MN where she was raised, and graduated from Cathedral High School in 1951. On December 30, 1954 she married Paul Gray in St. Cloud, MN and he preceded her in death on November 1, 2001. Arlyss was a resident of Lafayette since 1964 and a member of St. Mary Cathedral Catholic Church. She especially loved her friends and family. She was an avid reader and enjoyed traveling, playing bingo, antiquing, and working jig-saw puzzles. She is survived by her son, Mark Alan Gray of Lafayette; one sister, Mary "Mae" Obstarczyk; one brother, Loren Schill; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Laura (Laudenbach) Schill, infant daughter, Dyna Lee Gray, and three siblings, Jerome Joseph Schill, Phyllis Schill, and Virginia "Virgi" Rosebrook. There will be a private inurnment at Resthaven Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends and family are invited to a public Memorial Mass at St. Mary Cathedral Catholic Church on Monday, December 30, 2013 at 12:30 p.m., officiated by Rev. Fr. Jeff Martin.
