ARLINE DALY

LIMA — Arline G. Daly, 96, died at 6:24 PM on Saturday, November 5, 2016, at Lima Memorial Health System in Lima, Ohio.

Arline was born on September 4, 1920, in Cleveland, Ohio, to the late Theodore L. Dahlke and Genevieve (Manzler) Dahlke. On Saturday, May 11, 1974, in Lima, Ohio, she married Douglas L. Daly, they spent 20 happy years after retirement living in Florida, then moved back in 2000. Mr. Daly preceded her in death on July 3, 2012.

The family moved from Cleveland to Lima in 1937. She was a graduate of Lima South High School. She worked at the Lima Tank Plant and retired from the Lima Ford Motor company. She was a member of the Lima Christian Science Church and the First Church of Christ Scientists, Boston. She had been living at Primrose Assisted Living. She was a member of the Ford Salaried Retirees Club, South High School Class of 1938 and the Sugarmill Women's Club.

She is survived by two brothers, Donald L. (Betty) Dahlke, of Lima, OH and Theodore V. (Betty) Dahlke, of Lima, OH, several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Everett T. Dahlke, two sisters, Donna J. Craig and Dorothy M. Schafer.

The family will receive friends 1 – 4:30 Monday, November 7, 2016 followed by a funeral service at 4:30 P.M. at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home. Mike Dammeyer will officiate.

Entombment will be in Memorial Park Mausoleum, at a later date.
