Arleva Secrist1924-2014Logan - Arleva Frederick Secrist passed away on April 22, 2014 at the Legacy House of Logan. Arleva was born on April 11, 1924 and just celebrated her 90th birthday. She was raised in Providence and graduated from South Cache High School. She married her sweetheart, Horton Secrist, on Oct. 26, 1944. When she was younger, she enjoyed sewing, dancing, camping and doing many different kinds of crafts. She leaves behind her daughter, Myrna Knowles, and two sons, Reg (Arlene) Secrist and Troy Secrist, as well as her sisters Bonnie Miller and Orean Bodily and brothers Dale, Cloyd, and Erwin. She also had seven grandchildren, twenty-two great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Horton Secrist, her parents, her sister, Sarah Schoonmaker, brothers Quinten and Myron, and son-in-law Ernest Knowles. The family would like to thank Legacy House for the great care they provided for her the past few years.Graveside services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, April 28, 2014 in the Logan City Cemetery.
