Ardis "Ardie" Norene Dusenberry was born on Jan. 12, 1931 in Humboldt, Neb. to Lloyd and Ila Gould and passed away on Nov. 29, 2016 in Atlantic. She graduated from Humboldt High School in 1949, and then graduated from Tarkio College in 1954. Ardis married Pierce Dean Dusenberry on Sept. 18, 1960. They were blessed with three children; Douglas, Stuart and Terri. Ardis and Dean raised their family in Glenwood, where Ardis was involved in many activities and organizations and taught piano lessons to scores of children in the community. She was a member of P.E.O. Chapter FF for over 50 years. In recent years, Ardie lived in Atlantic. She was adventurous, loved to travel, and lived her life making new memories. Ardis loved Christmas and a long Sunday afternoon ride in the car, which might take her to Offutt Air Force Base to shop. She never missed an opportunity to love and help others, most often through her gift of music.Ardis is survived by her children, Douglas I. Dusenberry (Mary) of San Antonio, Texas; Stuart (Sheryl) Dusenberry of Atlantic, Terri Baker (Dan) of Richmond, Va.; Grandchildren Allyson Dusenberry, Rylee Dusenberry, Gracelynn Ray, Anthony Ray, Evan Dusenberry, Tess Dusenberry, Meagan Nickle, Caitlyn Baker, Drew Baker; Great-Grandchildren Mollie Nickle, Joseph Nickle, and Ryleigh Nickle, Sister Betty Davis of Glenwood; sister-in-law, Barb Gould of Humboldt, Neb.; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of good friends.She was preceded in death by her parents Lloyd and Ila Gould, husband Pierce Dean Dusenberry; brothers, Ronald Gould and Donald Gould.Family and music were the heart of Ardis' long and happy life. She was a joy to the world. She will be missed."Life was one grand, sweet song, so now start the music in heaven." ~ Ronald ReaganInterment will be held in the Glenwood Cemetery.Memorials may be directed to the Glenwood High School Vocal Music Department, Atlantic High School Vocal Music Department or Tarkio College Foundation.Visitation will be held on Friday, Dec. 2 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Holy Rosary Church, located at 24116 Marian Ave. in Glenwood. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Dec. 3 at 10 a.m. at Holy Rosary Church, 24116 Marian Ave. in Glenwood.
