Anthony "Tony" Leonard, son of the Late Henry Leonard and Hortense Whitaker Leonard, was received into paradise on August 1, 2023. He was born March 22, 1949 in Nashville, NC

He graduated from Nash Central High school and received his Associates Degree from Nash Community College. Tony served in the United States Marine Corps for three years. He was employed at Abbott Laboratories as an mechanic and was promoted to Maintenance Supervisor. He was a dedicated member and Post Commander of the American Legion Post 293 for more than 15 years.

Tony was united in Holy Matrimony to Doris Taylor and to the union three children were born. He leaves to cherish his loving memories: Wife Doris, daughters Kim Eley of Raleigh, NC, Antoinette Leonard of Nashville, NC; Sons Anthony Leonard Jr. of Nashville, NC, Ahamd Leonard of Nashville, NC; Sister Brenda Deans (Larry) of Rocky Mount, NC; Brothers, Milton Leonard (Dorothy) of Ringwood, NC, and Douglas Leonard (Francine) of Nashville, NC; Ten grandchildren; Four great grandchildren; Two aunts, One Uncle; many loving nieces, nephew, other relatives and friends.
