Celebrating the Life of Mrs. Annie L. Griffin
Mrs. Annie L. Griffin was born on October 10, 1953, to the late Douglas George and Geneva Carter. She peacefully departed this life, leaving behind a legacy of love, faith, and devotion to her family.
At an early age, Annie accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior and was baptized. She united with Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church in Canton, Mississippi, where she faithfully served and nurtured her spiritual foundation.
Annie received her education through the Velma Jackson High School system. She dedicated many years of her life to being a loving wife, devoted homemaker, and caring mother. Her greatest joy came from caring for her family, whom she loved unconditionally. She was known for her strength, kindness, generosity, and unwavering commitment to those she loved. Her warm smile, gentle spirit, and giving heart touched countless lives and will be deeply missed.
She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Douglas George and Geneva Carter.
Annie leaves to cherish her loving memory her devoted husband, Henry Lee Griffin; five daughters: Sheila (Judge) Smith, JoAnn (Levi) Williams, Melinda (Josh) Howard, Stacey Griffin, and Patricia Griffin; ten sons: Randy Griffin, Larry Griffin, Calvin Griffin, Ricksay (Tasha) Griffin, Percy (Sabrina) Griffin, Timmy Griffin, Marcus Griffin, Michael Griffin, Melvin Griffin, and Eric (Tasha) Griffin.
She is also survived by one sister, Bessie Marshall; three brothers, Sammie Crayton, Earl (Annette) Crayton, and Andrew Marshall; 46 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever cherish the love, wisdom, and beautiful memories she leaves behind.
Though our hearts are saddened by her passing, we find comfort in knowing that her life was well lived, her love was freely given, and her faith was steadfast. Her legacy will continue to live on through the many lives she touched. She will forever remain in our hearts and will never be forgotten.
