Annette Walker, 86, of Peoria, Illinois, passed away on June 15, 2025. She was born on January 7, 1939 in Little Rock, Arkansas, to the late Luther Walker and Barbara Jean Pate. She was raised in Peoria, Illinois, where she attended Manual High School. Annette was a beloved member of the community, known for her kind heart and gentle spirit. Throughout her life, she touched the lives of many with her grace, warmth, and generosity. Annette will be remembered for her love of gardening, her passion for cooking, and her deep appreciation for nature. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her, but her memory will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to have known her. Rest in peace, Annette.
She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Clifford Lee Gullett Jr.; her beloved children: Kim Walker, Kent Walker, Junisha Timothy, Annette Timothy, Lareka Tyler, and Jeremiah Gullett; Her grandson that she raised Kourtney Walker; her brothers: Phillip Pate, Rodney Farlow, Victor Lilly; all of Peoria, IL; and Ronald (Patricia) Pate of Olive Branch, Mississippi; her sisters: Valorie (John) Smith of Beaverville, IL, Gloria Hayes of Maryland, Agnes Calbert of Pulaski, IL, Lisa (Roger) Travis of Peoria, IL, and Tammy Pate of Peoria, IL.
She is also survived by her cherished aunts and uncles: Tina Rogan, Donald Lee, and David Kingcade, all of Peoria, and Dean (Alice) Rogan of Pulaski, IL; and by a circle of special loved ones: Kim Ross, Lynn Ross, Terri Pickett, Audrey Pate, and Sean Rogan. Her legacy continues through her many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Yolanda Walker; brothers Charles Walker and Kevin Joiner; and one beloved grandchild, Kent Walker Jr.
