She was the widow of Lucious Dowling, Sr. Mrs. Dowling was born on September 13, 1939 to the late Benjamin and Leda Jamison in Bamberg, SC. She was the step-daughter of the late Kathleen (Toomer) Jamison.Mrs. Dowling worked for Campbell Chain for 30 years before illness rendered her unable to continue working. She was a faithful member of the Fairview Full Gospel Missionary Baptist Church.Mrs. Dowling is survived by 3 sons, Lucious Dowling, Jr, Derek Dowling(Jessica), and Keith Moon all of York; 2 daughters, Leda Dowling and Val Rhodes (Mark) both of York; 13 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; 5 brothers, Pastor Robert Jamison (Rebecca), Joe Jamison (Alise), Richard Jamison (LelaMae), Charles Jamison, McKinley Toomer (Lois); 2 sisters Eartha McMillan (Roy) and Mary Jamison; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, and friends. In addition to her husband, Annette was preceded in death by 5 brothers, James L Jamison, William Jamison, Everlee Jamison, Lonnie Toomer, and Ernest Jamison; two sisters, Margaret Jackson and Pearl Stokes.The viewing will be held Tuesday, May 2, from 9 to 11 a.m at the Fairview Full Gospel Missionary Baptist Church, 465 S. Pine Street, York. The service will start promptly at 11 a.m. with Min. Felicia Dennis, officiating and Rev. Benjamin T. Hailey, eulogist.
