Anna Berniece Thompson, 87, of Union City, Pa., passed away peacefully, at her home, on Saturday, October 15, 2016, to be reunited with her late husband Gerald. Berniece was born on August 16, 1929, in Union City, Pa., the daughter of the late Archie and Anna Waive (Fay) Thomas. She was a homemaker and loved spending time with her family and friends. She enjoyed puzzles, playing cards, and watching wrestling. Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Dorothy. Berniece is survived by three daughters, Verta Thompson of Corry, Pa., Christine (Charles) Brockman of Columbus, Pa., and Bonnie (Ralph) Ellsworth of Union City, Pa.; a brother, Donald Thomas and his wife Mary; and brother-in-law, Herb Allen; grandchildren, Jeremy (Julie) Swan, Stephanie (Monty) Hildum, Sabrina (Brian) Johnson, Joshua (Peggy) Swan, Andrew Emberg, Casey Emberg, Nathan (Becky) Ellsworth, Lisa (Domonic) Daily, James Ellsworth, Katie Ellsworth, and Michael (Laura) Ellsworth; several great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
