Ann Marie Smith, loving wife of Alphonso Grant and devoted mother of Patty, Esther, Yvette, Donna, and Angel, passed away peacefully on June 9, 2024, in Washington D.C. She was born on January 23, 1950, to Patrick Smith and Lilly Ann Miller-Smith.

Ann Marie graduated from Anacostia High School in 1968 and went on to work at Mic Center, where she dedicated over three decades of service before retiring in 2000.

She enjoyed planning family activities and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her love and care for her family knew no bounds.

Ann Marie will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but her memory will live on in the hearts of her beloved family.
