Ann Callen Woods Alberti passed away on Tuesday, December 6, 2016 in Covington, LA. She was born on August 22, 1938 in New Orleans, LA to the late Lawrence Callen and Emily Barrouquere Callen. Ann is survived by her beloved husband, Col. Arthur R. Alberti. She was the loving mother of Betsy Woods, Jill Ecuyer (Dene), Sally Alvarez (Mark), Peggy Morrison (John), Roy Woods (Jenny), Ken Woods, and the late Gene Woods, III. Ann was the proud grandmother of Ben Atkinson, Sam Atkinson, Michael Atkinson, Woods Ecuyer, Emily Ecuyer, Aimeé Ecuyer, Mallory Becnel, Max Alvarez, Joel Alvarez, Avery Woods, Morgan Woods, and Alex Woods. She was the great-grandmother of Brady Becnel and Caroline Becnel. Ann was the sister of Dorothy Autin, the late Larry Callen, David Callen, and Toni Callen. Ann was predeceased by her husband, Eugene Woods, Jr. She is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Ann was a teacher at Metairie Ridge Presbyterian Church's Mother's Day Out. She also worked in the Human Resources Department for Jefferson Parish. Ann was respected and admired. She was a source of abundant love and kindness to all the lives she touched. Relatives and friends are invited to the Funeral Mass at St. Angela Merici Roman Catholic Church, 901 Beverly Garden Dr., Metairie, LA on Friday, December 9, 2016 at 10:00 AM with visitation from 9:00 AM until service time. Interment will be held at the Southeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery, Slidell, LA at 12:00 Noon. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Catholic Charities New Orleans, www.ccano.org.
