Angelo GalloAGE: 83 • Port MonmouthAngelo Gallo, 83, of Port Monmouth, NJ passed away peacefully with his family by his side on January 23, 2017 at Riverview Medical Center in Red Bank, NJ. Angelo was born on July, 21, 1933 in Brooklyn, NY. After receiving his diploma he enlisted in the United States Army where he served his country bravely. When his tour of duty was completed he left honorably discharged. When Angelo returned from service he met his wife Betty Johnson. They married and moved to Brooklyn, NY before ultimately settling down in Port Monmouth, NJ. Angelo was a Long Shore man most of his life for ILA #1814. Angelo is predeceased by his parents as well as his seven brothers and four sisters. He is the beloved husband of his wife Betty for 57 wonderful years. He is the devoted father to his children Angelo and Lisa, Roseann and Al, Gina and Scott, and John and Ann. Angelo is also the loving brother to Eleanor, Helvi, Elaine, Jimmy, and Michele. He is survived by his 9 grandchildren. Angelo loved sitting in the yard, the ocean, and playing cards but most of all his family made him happiest. He was truly the best husband, father, grandfather, brother anyone could know.Angelo will be reposing at the Evergreen Memorial Funeral Home 1735 Route 35, Middletown, NJ 07748. On Wednesday, January 25, 2017 from 2 - 4pm and 7 - 9pm. A mass will take place on Thursday, January 26, 2017 at 11am at St. Padre Pio Chapel Ecumenical Missionary Fathers on 300-304 Church Street, Belford, NJ. Interment to follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
