Andrew G. Steinbach1942 - 2016Andrew G. Steinbach, 73, of Pleasant Prairie, passed away peacefully after a three-year battle with cancer on Saturday, April 23, 2016, at his residence.He was born on Sept. 20, 1942, to the late Fred and Josephine (Allendorf) Steinbach in Chicago, Ill. In 1977, he married JoAnn Dowling in Chicago.Andrew started working at National Tea Food Store, and then at the Chicago Lock Company, then was a foreman at Vent Products, retiring in 2005 from Blakeslee as a foreman.Andrew was a member of the Gethsemane Lutheran Church in Cicero, Ill., and a member of the Steelworker's Union Local #714.Andrew enjoyed his birds, collecting coins and stamps. Andrew also enjoyed woodworking and working out in his yard. He loved watching cartoons, especially Stewie from Family Guy.Andrew is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, JoAnn; his children, Donald (Lesley) Pippin of Plainfield, Ill., and Machel (Keith) Lavergne of Carol Stream, Ill.; his grandchildren, Jimmy (Nikki), Melissa, Justin, Donald Jr., Tyler, Manny, Andrew and Anthony; and his brother George (Ginger) Steinbach. Many nieces and nephews also survive him.Three brothers, William, Robert and Fred, precede him in death.A Celebration of Life for Andrew will be held on Saturday, April 30, at 1 p.m. at the Bruch Funeral Home. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 11 a.m. until the time of service.
