Andrea (Annie) Lea Dougan passed away on December 4, 2016 in El Paso, Texas . She was born on February 3, 1965 in Winona, Minnesota to John and Margaret Holland. She is survived by her husband, Douglas C. Dougan; her step children, Bree and Sean Dougan; daughter-in-law, Raine; and grandchildren, Mari and Oliver. Also surviving are her sisters, Bridget Zillmen (Eric), Dawn Helwig (Dan), Cynthia Hoffman (Jonathan); nieces, Sophia and Amber; nephews, Anthony and Tyler; and dogs, Molly, Duffy and Abby.She was preceded in death by John and Margaret Holland, various cousins,aunts and uncles.She worked in Tularosa School District in special education and student taught autistic children at Holloman Elementary School. She loved her students, teachers and administrators.She was an established artist and charitable person. There was not a homeless person she did not help. She fought stage 4 cancer off and on for 4.5 years. During her bout with cancer, she had the support of family and dear friends at Cottonwood Christian Fellowship. Her prayer family and Pastors, Carla, Vaden and Tim, made her comfortable during her ordeal. In addition to working full time and taking care of home, she completed her Master Degree in Special Education at Grand Canyon University Arizona.Annie loved her family and friends unconditionally. She was a spiritual, loyal, loving and straight forward person. She will be sorely missed by her family, relatives, friends and acquaintances. A special thanks to Betty Rahn, her spiritual advisor; Jenny Bishop, the extended family of Robert and Ethel Burns and especially her church congregation.The Memorial Service will be held at Cottonwood Christian Fellowship located at 7035 U.S. Hwy 70 North, Alamogordo, New Mexico 88310 on Thursday, 12/15/2016 at 2:00 pm.
