We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Andre Smith, who was born on August 4, 1962, in Gary, Indiana, United States. He peacefully passed away on February 26, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.

Andre leaves behind his beloved mother, Gerri Bailey, his two children, Andrea Smith and Sharde Evers, and two adoring grandchildren. He was a dedicated member of the United States Army, serving as a First Sergeant before retiring in 1999.

Outside of his military career, Andre had a passion for fishing. He could often be found by the water, enjoying the peace and tranquility that it brought him.

Andre will be remembered for his sense of humor, his unwavering dedication to his family, and his zest for life. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
