A Celebration of the life of Andre Darnell Traylor

Andre Traylor, 50, of Delano, California, passed on August 30, 2022. Andre was born on December 25, 1971 to Walter and Jerline Traylor. He was raised in Delano, CA with 3 brothers & 4 sisters. Andre was the youngest of his siblings, actually Jerline thought she was done having children and in the beginning of her pregnancy she thought she was going through the woman change. (Menopause) She was wrong! Reality was she was going to have another little boy to chase down the street with a switch. You had to be their neighbors to understand.

Andre has always been well liked, he has always had a tons of friends and this contiguous smile. Andre smiled more than he spoke. Andre worked for Vignolo Farms several years with his family and a few other seasonal agriculture jobs.

At age 44, Andre married the love of his life Melanie Von they were blessed with 4 beautiful daughters and 5 grandchildren. He loved his family, but his grandchildren, they were his heart and he was their Hero. Andre was taken away from these babies to soon. They were looking forward to camping trips, fishing and just being with their grandpa. It didn't matter if they were just home watching TV as long as they had their Billy. Billy was a nickname that stuck in their head after Andre's daughter gave the family nicknames playing oneday and every since his grandbabies have been calling him Billy.

Andre was a Big Teddy Bear. When he was a child he always ran to Tyrone's house, because kids would pick on him because he was so big. He was a big boy, but didn't have a mean bone in his body. Tyrone was a few years older then Andre, but because when Andre was born his brothers were at least 15 yrs older then him and were always doing their thing. Tyrone became that big brother he needed at that time. He would take Andre back to the bullies and make him stand up to them and then he would let them know they would deal with him if they didn't leave Dre alone. Dre was finally tired of being bullied and he didn't stop growing, so the bigger he would get the easier he could intimidate those bullies after a couple years, he no longer had any bully problems. By then everyone knew him for his kind heart & the big kid that loved to being everyone's friend. He would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it.

He leaves behind to treasure his memory a multitude of friends and family including; wife Melanie Traylor; children Kiara, Marcia and Olivia; sisters Teresa Ruiz and Wilhelmina Nicholas; brothers Wendell Harris, Michael Dozer; grandchildren Audreana, Eli, Courtney, Dalijah, and Alan; a host of nieces & nephews; loving friends and relatives. He is preceded in death by his father Walter Traylor Jr.; Mother Jerline Traylor; brothers Lawrence and Dwight Traylor; sisters Sherry Combs and Marsha Traylor.
