Ana Marie Castaneda RACINE — Ana M. (nee: Hernandez) Castaneda, 66, passed away on Thursday, July 18, 2013 after an eight year battle with cancer. Ana was born on March 21, 1947 to the late Vicente and Mary Ophelia (nee: Martinez) Hernandez in San Antonio, TX. She was united in marriage to Juventino Castaneda Sr. on May 11, 1978 and together they shared 35 loving years. Ana had been employed as an aftermarket associate for Twin Disc for over 39 years until her retirement in February. She will be remembered as a loving sister, wife, mother, and grandmother. Her strength kept her family together, especially when her mother died at a young age and she was able to take care of her younger brothers and sisters. She will be dearly missed by her husband, Juventino Castaneda Sr.; son, Juventino Jr. (Cassie Hopkins) Castaneda; daughter, Nicole (Victor) Santiago; grandson, Alex Santiago; step daughters, Sylvia, Irma, and Araceli Castaneda; several step- grandchildren; brothers and sisters, David Sr., Richard Sr. (Delia), Robert Sr., Patrick Sr. (Dorothy) Hernandez, Teresa Gutierrez; and Angie Mendoza; sister-in- law, Yolanda; sisters-in- law, Maria (Jesus) Torres, Socorro (Eliseo) Hernandez, Feliz (Ramon), Eva (Florentino) Silva, Carmen, Florentina, and Cuca Castaneda; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and her beloved dog, Chula. She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers; Vincent, Ruben, and Albert Hernandez. Funeral services in honor of Ana will be held at Christo Rey (800 Wisconsin Ave.) on Wednesday, July 24, 2013 at 11:00am. Interment will follow at Graceland Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited to meet the family at Wilson Funeral Home on Tuesday, July 23, 2013 from 5:00-7:00pm (with a prayer vigil at 7:00) and again at the church on Wednesday from 10:00 am until the time of service.
