Amanda Hawkins, 35, of Cleveland, Ohio, transitioned on September 01, 2023.
Amanda Marie Hawkins was born on October 02, 1987, to Earl and Robin (Ragland) Hawkins in Cleveland, OH. Amanda means, "lovable" Marie means, "wished-for-child," and Hawkins means, "the messenger." She was the 2nd oldest of 3 girls in Cleveland and the 2nd youngest of 7 children on her father's side. She was the classic middle child growing up, inquisitive, always asking, "Why?" She always spoke her mind. She graduated from John Marshall High School in 2006 graduating with honors and graduated with her Associates in Fashion Merchandising from Virgina Marti in 2014. She eventually found her calling as a community health worker and was currently attending Tri-C for her certification. Her dream job was to become a therapist. Amanda loved sports, especially football. She loved to go shopping, bake and watch her favorite TV shows like The Office and Gilmore Girls. She loved all genres of music and loved to write. She was loved by all children, especially babies. She wasn't yet a natural mother, but mothering came natural to her. She also loved to care for and spend time with her loved ones. She is preceded in death by her grandparents: Josephine and Roosevelt Ragland, Mattie B. Berry and Tom James Hawkins, her maternal great grandmother: Mary Terry, her favorite aunts: Gladys Graham and Brenda Berry, and her god mother: Vonda Ockers.
