Alvin Andersen Alvin Andersen, 82, passed away on Tuesday, November 12, 2013, at the Union Grove Veterans Home surrounded by his loving family. Alvin was born on July 21, 1931 in Chicago, IL to parents Theodore and Esther (Martinsen) Andersen. On December 4, 1954, he was united in marriage to Virginia Birky. He was a proud Navy Veteran and served during the Korean War. Alvin was a co-owner of Coated Fabrics, Inc. of Burlington, WI. Alvin was a member of the Burlington Masonic Lodge, also a Charter member of Lake Geneva Country Gentleman's barbershop chorus, Al was also a charter member of the Norseman of the Lakes Sons of Norway. He was an active member at the Lutheran Memorial Church in Delavan, Wisconsin. In addition to his loving wife of 59 years, Alvin is survived by his children, Craig (Margaret), Alan (Kari), Keith (Feng-xiao), and Kristin (Ralph) Agner; grandchildren, Megan, Martin (Katrine), Robert, David, Christoffer, Thea Andersen and, Keith (Marlee), and Emily Agner. Al was survived by his four beautiful great grandchildren and a Sister Lois Krakofsky of Burlington. He was Preceded in death by his parents and brother Don Andersen. Visitation will be held at the Lutheran Memorial Church, in Delavan, WI, on Saturday, November 16, 2013 from 9 am - 11 am with a funeral service at 11 am.
