Alton Bruce Bailey, 82, of Grapevine, Texas, passed away on Oct. 5, 2014, in Irving, Texas.

He was born on Feb. 10, 1932, to Leon and Ara Bowen Bailey at Randolph County, Alabama. He was a longtime resident of LaGrange. Alton worked as a Minister for Church of Christ.

Alton is survived by his loving spouse, Florence, three sons, Bruce Bailey, Mark Bailey, Allen Bailey; daughter, Mary Reid; four granddaughters, Lauren Fancher, Victoria Leeth, Olivia Bailey, Charity Dyson; seven grandsons, Trace Bailey, Daniel Bailey, Phillip Bailey, Levi Bailey, Like Bailey, Logan Bailey, Wayne Turner; great-grandchildren, 10.

He was a faithful member of Grapevine Church of Christ in Grapevine, Texas, where he and Florence made their home.

Visitation was held Tuesday, Oct. 7, 2014, at Lucas Funeral Home, Grapevine, Texas.

Funeral serves were held on Wednesday, Oct. 8, 2014, at 10 a.m. at the Lucas Funeral Chapel, Grapevine, Texas, with Allen Bailey officiating.

Burial took place in the Grapevine Cemetery.
