Alta Lee Seay (Hutton) Barbee KellyMANSFIELD: Alta Lee Seay (Hutton) Barbee Kelly, 86, of Mansfield, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 14, 2017 at OhioHealth Mansfield Hospital. She was born on April 11, 1930 in Greeneville, Tennessee. Alta has resided in Mansfield since 1971.Alta was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She was a wise and encouraging lady, and a Steel Magnolia to those who knew her. She was loved by all who came in contact with her. She was a strong, caring, generous, and empathetic woman who was very social and known for being a good listener. Alta was a faithful member of Grace Episcopal Church where she volunteered every Thursday at the food pantry. She enjoyed reading, garage sales, and gardening. She was a former member of the Mansfield Garden Club. She is survived by her children, Larrie and Phyllis Dombos, Jaclyn Hale, Jeff and Susan McElroy, Eric and Cheri Barbee; six grandchildren, Karen Thompson, Katie Fulcher, Tiffany Elliott, Samantha Barbee, Sarah Hale Pierce and Sean Hale; four great-grandchildren, Cameron Parsons, Sirena Plew, Julia Fulcher, and Callie Thompson; five sisters, Mary Snowden, Elizabeth Bryant, Kaye Ellenburg, Freddie Ann Bowman, and Jo Roberts; the Mike, Jim, and John Kelly families; close friends, Dick Vogus and Carol Leaf, plus too many to mention. She is preceded in death by her biological father, Roy Seay who passed away ten days before her birth; her parents, Katherine (Reed) and Everette Hutton; her first husband, Jack Barbee; her second husband, Eugene Kelly; and two sisters, Frances Dyke and Neppie Beach.The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 16, 2017 at Grace Episcopal Church, 41 Bowman St., Mansfield. A funeral service will be held Friday, February 17, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the church conducted by The Rev. Joe Ashby and The Rev. David Sipes. She will be laid to rest on Friday, February 17, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at Mansfield Cemetery.
