Alma W. Bowen, 86, of Boiling Spring passed away, Sunday, January 26, 2025 at Spartanburg Regional Hospital in Spartanburg, S.C.

Alma was born in Hart County, GA and residing primarily in Starr, SC was born on June 8, 1938, she was a daughter of George and Edna Walters.

Alma was retired from Owens-Corning Fiberglass after 30+ years' service. She was a member of the Owens-Corning Retired Women's Club. She was a member of Starr Baptist Church in Starr, S.C.

She is survived by three children, Richard L. Greenway, Randall Greenway, and Kathryn Wood, as well as, two adopted grandchildren raised in the home, Kevin Holland (Drake) and Lindsey Lollis (Marshall). She was also a proud grandmother of 8 more grandchildren and great-grandmother of 8 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brothers Charles Walters and Clark Walters. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas O. Bowen, her sister, Ann Daniel, and daughter Janice Holland. 

A memorial to celebrate Alma's life will be held by family at a later date.
