Alma P. Schwab96, of Indianapolis, passed away on Thursday, May 18, 2017. She was born on May 21, 1920 to the late Paul and Olive Porter in Altoona, Pennsylvania. Alma worked for Kroger for many years and retired as a head cashier. She loved to dance and enjoyed spending time with family and friends.She was preceded in death by husbands, Ray Schwab and Lloyd Roeder; son, Skip Manzey; and daughter, Rose Mary Fisher-Wheeler. Survivors include her son, Barry Manzey (Linda); step-son, Curly Roeder (Marilyn); brother-in-law, Alfred Roeder (Donna); nieces, Melissa Downton, Karen Robinson, Stacie Roeder and Sheila Roeder; grandchildren, Denise Manzey, Dottie Acosta, Athena Rose Fisher, Paul Laughlin, Rene Roeder-Craven and Michelle Roeder; and several great-grandchildren.Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 27, 2017 from 1 to 2 p.m. in Lauck and Veldhof Funeral & Cremation Services, 1458 S. Meridian St., with a memorial service to follow at 2 p.m. with the Eastern Star participating.
