Alma Florence Cogdell,departed this life November 12, 2021. She was born on June 10, 1933, to Dorothy C. Davis-Young and Charles Davis, in Richmond, Va. Alma was a graduate of Armstrong High School, and had a career that spanned many years with the MCV Burn Unit, until her health declined. 

She was preceded in death by her son, Nelson L. Webster Jr.; and husband, James "Jimmy" Cogdell. She leaves to cherish her memory a beloved uncle, Rev. Robert C. Davis; and a host of cousins, extended family and many friends; including one devoted, Jacqueline Coleman.

Remains rest at Walter J. Manning Funeral Home, 700 N. 25th St. A graveside service will be held at Mount Calvary Cemetery, 1400 S. Randolph St., on Monday, November 22, 2021, at 11:30 a.m.
