"It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Allen Deondre Starks (Dede), beloved son of Carolyn Starks and Allen Prince, a cherished member of the Flint community, and a light to all who knew him. Allen was a kind and generous soul who touched the lives of everyone he encountered. A true friend to many, he will be remembered for his infectious laughter, warm smile, and his thoughtfulness. No matter what, he never forgot a family member’s birthday or failed to call on holidays. He always reached out with the purest love to give.

Allen’s passion for life and unwavering optimism served as an inspiration to us all. His presence will be deeply missed, but his memory will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him.
