Drobka, age 90, a resident of Laurel Grove, Manitowoc, died Sunday, September 10, 2017 at Shady Lane Nursing Care Center, Manitowoc.He was born on January 8, 1927 in Manitowoc, son of the late Adolf & Josephine (Kobiszewski) Drobka. Allan was a graduate of Manitowoc Lincoln High School, Class of 1944. He then obtained a Bachelors Degree from the University of Wisconsin - Madison in 1953. He was a Veteran of the United States Army Air Corps during World War II serving from 1944 until 1946. On September 15, 1951 he married the former Sylvia Skrzycke in Two Rivers. She preceded him in death on June 2, 2011. Allan was employed at Mirro Aluminum Company as general manager of personnel and then the Goetz Corporation as human relations manager. He served as chairman of the board of directors for United Way, Manitowoc County Industrial Safety Council, vice chairman of finances at Mark's House, a director at Holiday House and professor of business at Silver Lake College. Allan was an original member of St. Andrew's Catholic Church where he served on the parish council. He enjoyed golfing (getting a hole in one), aviation and flying and was a Packers fan.Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law: John & Cindy Drobka, Sheboygan; two daughters and one son-in-law: Carol & Anthony Basile, Syracuse, New York, Jean Drobka; three granddaughters: Lindsay (Nicholas) Wright, Meghan (Matthew) Donovan, Jordan Basile; three great grandchildren: Hayden, Riley and Griffin; and a sister-in-law: Deanna Drobka, Manitowoc. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. He was also preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters-in-law: Edwin (Bernice) Drobka, Deacon Robert Drobka, Adolph Jr. (Bucky) (Agnes) Drobka; one sister and brother-in-law: Florence (Robert) Johnston; two sisters-in-law: Alice (Jerry) Zinn, Patricia (Orville) Coenen; and a brother-in-law: Edward Skrzycke.Cremation has occurred at All-Care Cremation Center, Manitowoc. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 13, 2017 at St. Francis of Assisi on Grand (1416 Grand Avenue) Manitowoc. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. David Pleier with burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery, Manitowoc. Graveside Military Rites will be accorded by V.F.W. Otto Oas Post #659.The family will greet relatives and friends at St. Francis of Assisi on Grand (1416 Grand Avenue) Manitowoc, from 9:30 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. on Wednesday, September 13, 2017.
