It's with a very heavily sorrowed and broken heart to tell you that my oldest daughter Alicia Ann Barnes passed away in her Colorado Springs, Home in the ealry evening hours of July 4th, 2022 from an Arterial Pulmonary Embolism, She was 37 years old. Alicia was born on November 15th, 1984. At St. Joseph's Riverside Hospital. She grew up in Newton Falls, Ohio and went to her sophomore year of high school here in Ohio in 2000, She moved to Colorado where she graduated high school and then she spent the next 17 years as an IV Drug user and 7 years ago she met the love of her life, her soulmate and life partner Kyle Marshall. After Alicia and Kyles determination, stubborness, and fighting with everything they had in them they both just recently got their 5 year sobriety coins. They used to sleep in dumpsters on wooden pallets and they covered up with old carpeting to stay warm. They both have been working full time jobs and they got themselves an apartment and both of them have their own cars. Alicia and Kyle are perfect examples of what you can do when you put your mind to it. Alicia is in Heaven now with her mom and her grandparents and her aunt Jackie.
