Alice M. Romero, 83, a longtime resident of Las Tusas passed away on Sunday, July 10, 2016 surrounded by her family at Kindred Hospital in Albuquerque.She was born on Aug. 4, 1932 to Epifaño Torres and Lucinita Vigil Torres in El Cerrito.She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, mother-in-law, sister, aunt and friend. Alice enjoyed traveling, but she certainly loved to be home at the ranch. A Catholic, she was a member of Our Lady of Sorrows Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Epifaño and Lucinita Torres; husband, Adolfo Romero; sisters, Antonia Archibeque, Dolores Romero and Lourdes Sandoval; and son, Jose Manuel Romero. She is survived by her son and daughters, Orlando Romero and wife, Enedean, of Las Tusas, Gloria J. Romero of Las Vegas, Mary Christine Mueller and husband, Chuck, of Sierra Vista, Ariz.; grandchildren, Orlando V. Romero (Sandy), Andrea Munoz (David), Richard L. Martinez (Crystal), Alexandra D. Martinez (Darrell), Christopher A. Martinez (Kelly), Dana Mueller, Tiffany Mueller; great-grandchildren, Ryanne White, Lawrence, Audrianna and Andrew Martinez, Catrina, Reyes, Alexia and Ceasar Martinez, Gabby Baker; brother, Richard Torres of Las Vegas; brothers-in-law, Benancio Romero and wife, Marcella, of Albuquerque, and Leroy Romero and wife, Yolanda, of Tome; sisters-in-law, Josie Encinias, and Alice Salazar and husband, Pete, all of Santa Fe; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.Rosary services were held at 7 p.m. on Thursday at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Sapello. Funeral services will be conducted at 9:30 a.m. today (Friday) also at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church with Father Douglas Mitchell as celebrant. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Guadalupe Cemetery in Sapello with the following serving as casket bearers: Orlando V. Romero, Richard Martinez, Christopher Martinez, Hank Gettler, Joe Romero and Chuck Mueller.
