HURTT, ALICE, 70 Alice Hurtt, 70, longtime resident of Gainesville, Florida, died Thursday, September 29, 2016 at the E.T. York Hospice Care Center, following a long illness. Mrs. Hurtt was a native of Brooklyn, New York, born on May 16, 1946 to the late Jack and Anna Young. She lived most of her life in Gainesville, working as a founding member of the North Florida Regional Medical Center, retiring after 30 years of service. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arbra 'Hal' Hurtt. Survivors include; two brothers, Ernie Young, of Ocala and George W. Young, of Port Jefferson, NY; along with a host of nieces and nephews. A celebration of Alice's life will be held on Saturday, October 8, 2016 at 12:00 P.M., in the Chapel of WILLIAMS-THOMAS FUNERAL HOME WESTAREA, 823 NW 143rd St. She will be interred alongside her beloved Hal, immediately following.
