Alice Hefferon RACINE – Alice (nee: Hajinian) Hefferon, 90, passed away on Saturday, April 18, 2015 at St. Monica’s Senior Citizen Home. She was a lifelong resident of Racine, born on June 12, 1924, the daughter of the late Garabed and Elsie (nee: Musurlian) Hajinian. On July 21, 1959 Alice was united in marriage to William “Ben” Hefferon at Grace Lutheran Church. She attended Wm. Horlick High School. Alice was a long distance telephone operator, retiring from Webster Electric after 26 years of service. Surviving are her sons, Michael (Bradley) Hefferon of Vancouver, BC and Gerald Hefferon of Waukesha, former daughter-in-law, Shirley Bleichner of Racine; five grandchildren, Steve, Shelley, Jay (Kelly), Jerry and Austin Hefferon; nine great grandchildren, Matt Erickson, Lauren Slattery, Justin Tighe, Taylor, Shane, Michael, Sidney, Caylin and Seth Hefferon and one great great-granddaughter, Aria. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Alice was preceded in death by her husband, William “Ben”, on May 23, 1997, sister, Martha Hajinian and brother and sister-in-law, Ted (Rose) Hajinian. Funeral service and visitation will be held at Lutheran Church of the Resurrection, 322 Ohio St. Racine, on Wednesday, April 22, 2015 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Dr. Melvin Miritz officiating. Alice will be laid to rest next to her husband at West Lawn Memorial Park following services.
