Rea, Alfred P..Alfred Patrick Rea, age 87, of Stratford passed away on Monday, October 31, 2016 in Bridgeport Hospital. Son of the late Domenico and Josephina Fannone Rea, he was born on February 28, 2016 in Bridgeport and served proudly in the US Army. He will be remembered as accomplished musician, a student bandleader for Harding High School and a member of the American Poet Society. Mr Rea is survived by his son Alfred N Rea of Stratford, brother Benedetto Rea of Bridgeport and several nephews and nieces. Besides his parents, he is predeceased by six brothers and sisters. A funeral service will be hold in St. Marks Church in Stratford on Friday, November 4, 2016 at 10am. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to St. Mark's Church, 500 Wigwam Lane, Stratford, CT 06614. Affordable Cremations, 125 Broad St, Milford is handling the arrangements.
