Alexander Ferdinand Petzinger II, MD passed away on July 29, 2016. He was born on July 18, 1924 in San Francisco. After serving in the Navy during World War II, he graduated from Stanford University in 1949, and Johns Hopkins Medical School in 1956. He worked as an ophthalmologist in Marysville CA, retiring in 1990. He is survived by his brother Richard Petzinger of Stockton, CA and sister Geraldine Helfrich of Redwood City. Alex is also  survived by his wife Zoila, his children Erik Petzinger, Giselle Jakowec, Karen Kerwin, Michelle Stivers, and eleven grandchildren.
