Alberto Rosado Obituary

Feb 28, 1944 - Sep 14, 2017

This obituary is administered by:

Alberto Rosado, 73, passed away September 14, 2017. He was born February 28, 1944.

Alberto is survived by his first wife and mother of his children, Anna Esquilin Rosado; his three sons, Juan L. Rosado, Jesus M. Rosado, Jose I. Rosado; and daughter, Maylin Rosado Beattie; Albert was a grandfather to Courtney Hunt, Jaylin Rosado, Joviana Serreno, Daniel Rosado, Ivan Rosado, Bryce Beattie, Jeff Eaken, Elaine Rosado and Emerald Frazier. He is also survived by his beloved brothers, Vicente Rosado, Victor Rosado, Maximino Rosado and Moises Rosado. He would want us to mention his furry friends, Samantha and Lobo.

Albert started his career as a firefighter in 1966 in Humacao, Puerto Rico. He moved to Tampa and joined Hillsborough County Fire Department in 1975, and worked his way up the ranks to become a fire captain, retiring in 2006. Albert looked forward to his retirement years, which had him moving back to Puerto Rico. Together, with help from his brothers, he built a dream home in the hills of Humacao. He settled into a happy life as a gentleman farmer and enjoyed working in his fields, tending his crops.

All of us who knew Albert's love for his beloved island are keenly aware that in this desperate time he would be involved in organizing a way to help friends and family. In lieu of flowers or cards, please help in any way you can to Hurricane Maria Relief for Puerto Rico and the Caribbean.

We mourn your loss Dad, we grieve for you. Until we are together again remember that in your lifetime you achieved with your quiet dignity what you strove for - respect. This is something that can not be purchased or acquired, it can only be earned. You earned it Dad. We love you always. May you rest in peace.

You can to the family or in memory of Alberto Rosado.
