Alberta Katherine Condie, "Lolly"In the early morning hours of October 14, 2015, Lolly passed away at Adventist Medical Center in Hanford, California, surrounded by her family following a long, hard fought battle with cancer. Lolly was 71 years old.Lolly Condie was born on September 2, 1944, in Yuma, Arizona. She was one of 11 children born to Henry and Candelaria Gonzales.Lolly was a quiet child who always wanted to be with our mother. Lolly was petite and dark-haired with wide eyes taking in the world even as a young child. Lolly attended Roosevelt, Mary Elizabeth Post, Fourth Avenue Junior High School, Yuma High School, AWC, and she then made the decision to leave home and attend college at ASU where she met her husband, Paul V. Condie, the love of her life. They married November 15, 1969, in El Cajon, California, and they enjoyed 46 wonderful years together. Lolly and Paul traveled to Connecticut, Panama, Germany, and they eventually made their home in Lemoore, California. Lolly worked at the Naval Air Station in Lemoore, California, for 29 years as a Transportation Coordinator. Lolly collected post cards and many treasures from their travels. When family traveled to places she was interested in, she would always ask if they would please pick up a post card for her!Lolly's love, dedication and passion in researching family history were genuine. She took great pride in our family history. Lolly is our family historian. Lolly's interest in family history started in early 2000, and from there Lolly was unstoppable! In April of 2003 Lolly was a very big force in organizing the 2nd Coz Reunion! It was an accomplishment Lolly was very proud of. Lolly said, "Our mother would have been so proud to see us celebrating her family ancestry. I kept thinking of her all during the reunion."When Paul, Lolly's husband, and her brothers and sisters were asked to describe Lolly in a word or two, here is what they said: dedicated, loyal, family strong, embraced life, nurturing, kind, historian, thoughtful, loving, caring, humorous, love, intelligent, inspired by the Lord!Alberta Katherine Condie," Lolly," was preceded in death by: Henry and Candelaria Gonzales, parents; Robert V. Condie, Dad; Mary Frances Contreras, Virginia Anita Hernandez (Ginger), sisters; David Condie, brother-in-law.Alberta Katherine Condie, "Lolly," is survived by: Paul Condie, husband; Audrey Condie, Mom; sisters and brothers, Rita Galvin & Harry Tabke; Carlos (Dinky) & Shirley Gonzales; Henry (Soupie) & Patricia (Tillie) Gonzales; Albert (Lulu) & Dawn Gonzales; George & Candy Gonzales; Margaret (Tinker) & Ramiro (Junior) Ordaz; James (Jimmy) Gonzales; Jacqueline & Ron Perkins; Jonathan & Suzanne Condie; Richard & Katie Preach ; and many loving nieces , nephews , cousins, and godchildren.Visitation will be held October 30, 2015, at Johnson Mortuary from 5:00 - 9:00 p.m. with a rosary at 7:00 p.m. A funeral mass will be held October 31, 2015, at Immaculate Conception Church at 11:30 a.m. with burial to follow at Desert Lawn Memorial Park.Donations may be made in Lolly's name to the .
