Today, we bid farewell to an extraordinary soul, Albert Torres. Born on January 27th, 1950, he left this world on May 16th, 2023 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania surrounded by his loving family. He was the son of Diane Torres, who gave him life and showered him with love and support throughout his journey on earth.
He attended Gratz High School, where he was infamous for his pranks and his love of soft pretzels. After graduating from Gratz High School class of 1968, Albert went on to live a life full of laughter, love, and mischief. He always had a joke up his sleeve and a smile on his face. Albert's infectious personality and quick wit made him a favorite among friends and family alike.
"Al", beloved father of Naeemah, Taliah, Fee Fee, Gerri, and Shariff Jr. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. Albert dedicated his life to his family, and his legacy lives on through his five beloved children. Through their upbringing, he instilled in them the values of hard work, perseverance, kindness, and generosity. These values will continue to be passed down from generation to generation. He leaves behind 9 grandchildren(Micheal, Christian, Briana, Taylor, Bryce, Kory, Cario, King, and Legend) who he would always make laugh with his silly jokes and antics. He loved to spend time with his family and was always up for a game of cards or a dance-off. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Like in any moment of Al's life he put a fight till the very end, even in his final moments, he managed to make his loved ones laugh with a classic one-liner. His spirit will forever live on. Even through his illness, he never lost his faith, his love for family, his will to live, and his contagious smile. His life was a testimony that love, kindness, and dedication can change the world and the people around us.In honor of Albert's life, we celebrate his life instead of a traditional funeral service.
Albert Torres, you will be missed, but your memory, your legacy, and your spirit will always live on in the hearts of those who knew you best. Rest in peace
