It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Akaia Scott, who left this world on September 22, 2025, in Memphis, Tennessee. Born on September 8, 1988, to their loving mother Carmen Scott.

Akaia is survived by their partner, Shinan Carroll, and their two children, Ariah Scott and Shai Scott. Akaia was a dedicated employee at Amazon for many years before retiring in 2018.

Akaia had a passion for football and track, and could often be found cheering on their favorite teams or running around the track with their children. They brought joy and laughter wherever they went, and will be deeply missed by all who knew them.

May Akaia rest in peace, knowing they were loved and cherished by many.
