Aileen Qualls TurnerKnoxville, TNAileen Qualls Turner "Granny", age 95 of Knoxville, died peacefully at home on July 10, 2017. Aileen was born on May 29, 1922 to Ella Puckett and George W. Qualls. She was a graduate of Knoxville High School. Aileen eventually worked at Fulton Sylphon Division, where she met and later married John Crawford Turner, Sr. She grew up attending Second Methodist Church, later joined First Christian Church, and then became a charter member of Northside Christian Church. She was a member of the Sun Up Garden Club, Chairman of the Junior Department of the Knoxville Woman's Club, and secretary of the Fountain City Fire Department. Aileen is survived by her children, J. Crawford Turner, Jr. and wife Nancy, Kathryn White, Rachel Nielson, Nic Turner, and Rusty Turner. She is also survived by six grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren. Family and friends will meet at 10:45 am Saturday, July 15, 2017 at Lynnhurst Cemetery for an 11:00 am graveside service with Rev. Frits Havercamp officiating.
