We are gathered here today to celebrate the life of Addison Smith, who was born on April 14, 1980 in Washington, DC. Addison passed away on July 9, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love and laughter.
Known for his quick wit and infectious smile, Addison survived by his partner Marquita Campbell, his children ( Kayla, Markieth, Saleiyah, Aaron, and Vishon.) His mother Rose Whitten, Sister's Carla Whitten & Shelley Richardson and( Niece like sister Sheron Tate), Uncle Wayne Whitten, Aunts Lena Miller and Myra Brandon. Along with a host of grandchildren, nieces and nefews.
He is predeceased by His father Addison Smith Sr, his niece Krystal Whitten, Cousin Charles Edwards and many others, gone but not forgotten.
He adored his family and cherished every moment spent with them.
After graduating from Phelps High School Addison pursued a career as a contractor, utilizing his skills as a jack of all trades. He eventually retired in 2015, but continued to stay busy by volunteering at the Maryland Food Bank organization, where he found joy in helping others.
Outside of work, Addison had a passion for food distribution and could often be found whipping up delicious meals for his loved ones. His culinary skills were unmatched, and his Fried Chicken was a family favorite.
Although Addison is no longer with us, his memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. He brought light and laughter wherever he went, and his presence will be dearly missed.
Rest in peace, Addison. May your spirit continue to shine brightly in the lives of those you touched. You'll forever be "Iron Man"
