Edinburg - RIO GRANDE CITY - Adan Acevedo Jr., 28, entered in to eternal rest on Thursday, November 24, 2016, at Edinburg Regional Medical Center, in Edinburg, Texas. Adan was born on February 14, 1988, to Mr. Adan Acevedo Sr. and Mrs. Thelma Garcia in McAllen, Texas. Adan is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Alfredo and Concepcion Acevedo. Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife Gabriela Acevedo; his parents Adan and Thelma Acevedo Sr.; his in-laws, Victor Hugo and Adriana Facio; his two brothers, Abraham Abel (Angie Villanueva) Acevedo, Aaron Antonio Acevedo; and his three brother in-laws, Hugo Miguel Facio, Victor Facio and Sebastian Facio. Adan will be greatly missed by his maternal grandparents, Bernardo and Alida Garcia; and his aunts and uncles, Policarpio Garcia, Leticia G. (Mike) East, Ruviola G. (John) Amsden, Eliza Garcia, Alfredo (Lisa) Acevedo Jr., Alberto Acevedo, Irma (Jimmy) Garza and Elda (Tony) Moreno. Family will be receiving friends from 2:00 pm to 9:00 pm today Saturday, November 26, 2016 and on Sunday, November 27, 2016 with a rosary recited at 7:00 pm both days at the Lord and I Funeral Home in Sullivan City. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9:00 am on Monday, November 28, 2016, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Sullivan City. Interment will follow at Casa Blanca Ranch Cemetery in Alto Bonito.
