Ada dedicated her life to her family and community. She married the love of her life, Chester Cockerham, in the year 30, and together they had one daughter, Jasmine Jamersson, who married Darwin Jamerson. Ada cherished her role as a grandmother but preferred not to disclose the names of her beloved grandchild.

Ada received her education at Maplewood High School, where she graduated in 1968. Following her passion for knowledge, she pursued further studies at Liberty Heights University. Her thirst for learning was matched by her devotion to serving others.

Ada dedicated many years of her life to the library profession. Throughout her career, she worked diligently at the local library, where she impacted countless lives with her knowledge, empathy, and expertise. She also actively supported the Literacy Allies Foundation, an organization that aims to promote literacy and reading initiatives in the community.

Ada's tireless efforts in promoting literacy and fostering a love for books did not go unnoticed. She was honored with "The Literary Luminary" award, recognizing her exceptional contributions to libraries and reading initiatives.

Ada Cockerham is survived by her loving husband, Chester Cockerham, her daughter Jasmine Jamersson, her son-in-law Darwin Jamerson, and her cherished grandchild. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
