Abdusshahid Luqman who was born Micheal Edward Johnson on May 24, 1966 to his beloved parents James and Wanda Johnson in Camden, New Jersey was the oldest of 3 children. Affectionately known as Abdus, AB or Mike by close loved ones, he was an intelligent and creative child. He enjoyed reading and writing plays, stories and music. In 1984 He graduated from Camden High school and went on to go to Glassboro State University. While there He sang in the gospel choir where he meant the mother of his two children. Shortly after in 1985 he left college got married and started a career in Trucking. In 1986 He had his first child Maurice Johnson who he named after his favorite musically artist from Earth, wind and fire. The following year in 1987 he had a daughter named Shamyr Johnson. In 1990 he and his children's mother divorced and He continued to be be an active father in his children's lives. In the early 90's he changed his name to what we know today, Abdusshahid Luqman and later moved to Newark , NJ. Some years later in 2011 while attending a Christian singles retreat he had another chance at love. There he meant his best friend and soul mate Jacqueline Malone. From the moment they meant they were virtually inseparable. He proposed to her on.in the summer of 2012 and they married on August 10, 2013 in an intimate ceremony surrounded by loved ones and moved to Washington, DC. Less then one month later on September 8, 2013 he lost the first women he ever loved, his mother Wanda Johnson. If it was not for his wife by his side he may have never made it through that very tough time. Also in 2013 shortly after they married they adopted their "Pet child" Bruskie Luqman their most beloved bull master. In 2014 he and Jacquie started "Luqman Nation" on "Blog talk Radio". Abdus worked hard together with his wife Jacquie to fight against injustice. They were apart of "Black Allience for Peace" , " Pan Africa Community Action"and devoted members of "Plymouth Congragational United Church of Christ". Currently "Luqman Nation" are co-host on "Black Power Media".
