A. Robert LongNaples, FLA. Robert Long, of Naples, FL, passed away January 15, 2017. Bob was born on January 29, 1929 to Grace and Arthur Long and grew up in Trenton, MI. He graduated from Trenton High School in 1947 and graduated from the University of Michigan in 1951. After graduating, Bob served in the US Army and was stationed in Germany.After teaching school in Riverview and Romulus, Michigan, Bob retired in 1986 and moved to Naples, FL. He attended Naples United Methodist Church.Bob is survived by sisters, Mary Hanson and Virginia Peck; nephews and niece, Jeffrey (Michelle) Hanson, Chris (Loretta) Hanson, and Paula (Larry) James. He is also survived by one great nephew and four great nieces.Interment will take place at Fort Custer National Cemetery in Michigan.Memorial contributions may be made to the or the .
